Kristina Tica‘s AI Art project within the Digital Art Master’s program at FMK. The project utilizes Generative Adversarial Networks applied to a dataset of scanned Byzantine icons, establishing a connection between the Orthodox iconographic canon and the code of modern computer vision algorithms. By doing so, the project draws a link between the official theological aesthetics of medieval feudalism and the digital AI aesthetics of contemporary techno-feudalism.
